Turner Pest Control Awards 2017 Scholarship

Orlando Pest Control Scholarship Winner

We are pleased to announce that the second annual Turner Pest Control $1,500 scholarship was recently awarded to Bayne Shaifer, a Jupiter, Florida, high school senior who will be attending Stetson University in the Orlando area.

Our 2017 scholarship program highlighted the importance of community service, which is an integral part of Turner Pest Control’s commitment to contributing to the quality of life in the neighborhoods and cities we serve. Ms. Shaifer was selected as the scholarship recipient based on her demonstrated passion for giving to the community through The Bayne Academy Foundation, a nonprofit she co-founded. The organization began as a mentoring program for high school students who lack the resources to participate in the type of class trips that allowed Ms. Shaifer to discover her own passion for criminal justice and law. Future plans for the program include expanding it to establish interest-based education initiatives in inner-city schools.

Ms. Shaifer says she is “especially grateful to be selected by such a community-minded company and that Turner Pest Control’s belief in me motivates me to accomplish much more.” All of us on the Turner team thank Ms. Shaifer for her work to support her peers’ success. Congratulations!
