ACE certification

Congratulations to Michael Litsey, our pest control and termite manager, for his recent certification as an Associate Entomologist by the Entomological Society of America Certification Corporation!

The designation of Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) can only be achieved by pest-control operators who have a minimum of seven years’ experience in pest management experience, a current U.S. pesticide applicator’s license, and a willingness to adhere to the Ace Code of Ethics. Most importantly, this certification also requires passing a rigorous test on insect pest control, which includes questions about entomology; insect identification, life cycles, and control measures; health impacts of pests; ecological principles and environmental impacts related to pest control; pesticide safety and health issues; and much more.

Mike began his career with Turner nine years ago as a Termite Technician, diligently working his way up to GHP Technician, GHP Manager, and GHP/Termite division manager. “We’re so proud of Mike’s efforts to become a certified ACE,” says Turner Pest Control CEO Mark Slater. “It’s an important distinction in our industry, and it reflects well on the entire company to have a nationally recognized, certified expert on the Turner team.”
The Entomological Society of America is the world’s largest organization serving entomologists and individuals in related disciplines. To learn more about the organization’s Certification Corporation, visit www.entocert.org.
